“Paris is always a good idea” -Audrey Hepburn
I couldn’t agree more with the Audrey Hepburn quote, which also happens to be my response every time my husband asks me where I want to go! Since almost every inch of my home decor is Paris inspired, there is no question that Paris is my favorite city to visit.
Whether it is your first trip, or you are a seasoned traveler to France, there is always lots to see and experiences to be had.
I personally never found a need for a car in Paris. I like to walk and have even ended up walking about 15 miles in one day. Mix in some public transportation and you are good to go.
Here are just a few of my “not to be missed” sights in no particular order:
- Eiffel Tower (daytime and evening) along with the River Seine
- Luxembourg Gardens
- Montmartre neighborhood
- Louvre Museum
- Palace of Versailles (daytrip)
- Champ-Elysees along with Arc de Triomphe (evening)
This is not meant to be a complete list, but just a general start if this is your first visit to the city. My tip for new travelers is to not try and get everything in on your first trip. Remember to tell yourself that you will be back because “Paris is always a good idea“.
